General Greg Abbott’s Principles, Experience, Commitment and Leadership Will Make Him a Great Governor

(Houston, TX) Texans for Lawsuit Reform Political Action Committee issued the following statement following the second gubernatorial debate held earlier this evening.  Speaking for the TLRPAC Board, Richard W. Weekley said:

“In tonight’s debate, Attorney General Greg Abbott laid out his expansive vision for a growing and prosperous Texas built on a long record of public service including as a judge and our current attorney general.  Greg’s principled commitment to a balanced and fair civil justice system will assure that our economy continues to thrive and Texas remains the job-creating engine for the nation.

Greg’s record is in sharp contrast to his opponent.  In the Senate she was a leader in pushing the job-killing agenda of personal injury trial lawyers – who are among her largest contributors – and fought to rollback lawsuit reforms.   It was clear in tonight’s debate that her record pales beside Greg’s leadership and experience.”
