The November 2nd elections in Texas were not only traditional partisan contests, but also a reflection of the continuing battle to maintain and improve the successful lawsuit reforms of the last fifteen years, which have helped make Texas the best state in the nation in which to start or grow a business and create jobs. A handful of personal injury trial lawyers spent millions of dollars in a futile effort to elect legislators who would roll back or diminish tort reform.
