AUSTIN, Texas – Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC today announced its endorsement of State Rep. Betty Brown in the House District 4 GOP primary that will be held March 4th.

TLR PAC leaders said Brown has demonstrated a vigilant commitment to a fair and honest civil justice system in Texas.

"Betty Brown has repeatedly had the courage to stand up to the powerful personal injury trial lawyers who are committed to rolling back lawsuit reforms in Texas,” said TLR PAC Director Justin Unruh. “That is why a personal injury trial lawyer is running against her.”

“Rep. Brown has supported lawsuit reforms that are strengthening our economy, restoring faith in our courts and protecting patient access to doctors and health care all over the state. We know she will continue to fight for a balanced civil justice system,” Unruh said.

First elected in 1998, Brown is running for her sixth term in the Texas House, representing Henderson and Kaufman Counties.

TLR PAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, the state's largest civil justice reform organization. TLR is a bipartisan, volunteer-led coalition with more than 15,000 supporters residing in 818 Texas communities and representing 1,266 different businesses, professions and trades.
