Jim has an extensive résumé in business leadership, which includes service as a board member of the Houston West Chamber of Commerce, West Houston Medical Center and past Chairman of the Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Houston Realty Business Coalition, Making it Better and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. He received his BA from The University of Texas in Austin.
Murphy currently serves on the Economic & Small Business Development and Ways & Means Committees in the Texas House.
House District 133 includes part of Harris County.
