AUSTIN—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Judge Bill Henry of San Marcos in his reelection campaign for the 428th District Court in Hays County.
“Each election cycle, TLRPAC supports judicial candidates who understand the importance of a fair, efficient and honest legal system to Texas families and businesses,” TLRPAC General Counsel Lee Parsley said. “Throughout his tenure on the 428th District Court, Judge Henry has demonstrated a commitment to upholding the integrity of our legal system. Henry was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry as the first judge of the 428th Judicial District in 2005, and has presided over the court since then. He is a former assistant district attorney in the Hays County District Attorney’s Office and former assistant attorney general in the Texas Attorney General’s Office. As a litigator, Henry worked in private practice in Hays County and Austin. He is board certified in civil trial law and family law, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a master of the bench for the Robert Calvert American Inn of Court. He is also past president of the Hays County Bar Association and a past adjunct instructor at the University of Texas School of Law. Henry received a bachelor’s degree and law degree from Baylor University.
